After their Boston, Friday night’s alt-rock show Jane’s Addiction, singer Perry Farrell punched guitarist Dave Navarro.
Reports from TMZ, Variety, and Rolling Stone detailed the altercation on stage when Farrell struck Navarro’s guitar as he was soloing on the eleventh song of the evening, “Ocean Size.”
Videos that concertgoers shared on social media show that bassist Eric Avery and a few road crew members moved Farrell away from Navarro.
Once Farrell had left, Navarro and the other band members moved to the front of the stage, gave each other hugs, and used their fingers to make peace signs.
Since its founding in 1985, the group has split up and then gotten back together multiple times.
July marked the start of their first tour in fourteen years. It’s uncertain if the concert will continue after Navarro and Farrell got into a fight.
